My First Vera Wang

When the name Vera Wang comes up, the first thought in most women’s minds are her beautiful wedding gowns. In 1990 she opened her first retail store featuring these luxurious pieces and since then, has grown her empire, diversifying into home wares, footwear, perfume and ready to wear fashions. It would only make sense for Wang to create a ready to wear collection, as her bridal creations always exude so much class and grace.

Lavender Label is the name of her second tier ready to wear collection and I found my sweet little number at Misch Boutique on South Granville Street. This gathered strapless dress displays an abstract print, done up in an elegantly feminine silhouette.

My most favorite parts? It has boning at the bust and on-seam pockets at the hip! It’s made from 100% silk and is $504 CDN, not too bad for a piece of Vera Wang.
