Sweet Lullabies

After reading the collection of poems by British Columbian, Senka Kovacevic, I felt a huge sense of nostalgia as it brought me back to high school - Where confused emotions and relationship woes came in spades.

“Where the Sun Reposes” is a series of poems originally written as 8 lullabies to a lover and as you read them one by one, it reveals troublesome in the relationship. For my self, the poem “Secret Lover” hit a nerve in me as Senka describes the joys and pains of LOVE…

“If a love is secret, is it sweeter?
Or is it like invisible clutter?
Stuffed in drawers, your house looks neater
It’s presence to no one must you utter….”
