Paris’s perfectly perched Everland Hotel brings a new meaning to the phrase ‘living on the edge’. Top British architect, Amanda Levete, has designed four limited-edition pieces known as the “Around the Corner” collection. These self-contained pods are intended to rest in the corner of a room, but there as the Palais de Tokyo art gallery shows us, there’s really no limit as to where these portable residences can reside.
The great part about this exhibit is that it’s not only available for viewing…its also available for rent! By day, you can tour the space with your admission to the museum, but at 6pm each night, this work of art turns into a guest suite with an unforgettable view of the Eiffel Tower. Juxtaposed with the neoclassical architecture of the museum, this retro-futurist home comes fully stocked with squishy built in sofas, a slinky turquoise bathroom, lime green turntable and a library of old LPs.
While you can only reserve the room for one night, you can expect all the comforts of a luxury hotel courtesy of the trendsetting Parisian Hotel Sezz group.
