The Five Hotel

Located in the Latin Quarter, the artsy Five Hotel was the perfect place to call home during the first part of my stay in Paris. It’s located on a quiet, non-descript residential street, so falling asleep at night was never a problem. The Port Royal metro station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and this made it very easy for me to get around.

All the rooms are specifically designed to be different from one another and the focus was on deep rich colors and playing with different fabrics in order to create texture. With an additional charge, you can have breakfast downstairs. The selection of fresh croissants, bread, cheeses, deli meats and fresh coffee was amazing (I had brie and croissants every day).

Although the rooms were small, the service was bar-none. I was pleasantly surprised with the front staff, has they catered to all my specific needs. To top it all off, just around the corner 3 days a week, a farmer’s market sets up shop from 11 am to 3 pm. How much sweeter can life get?
