What To Do: Hong Kong

The last time I was in Hong Kong until recently, I was 12 years old. A lot has changed with this city and I was absolutely blown away with how much the city has blossomed. Here are my suggestions for some favorite drop ins from my homeland:

EAT:

Housed in a former butcher shop and located on the new hip street of Gough, Palate looks like a modern Chinese resto set in Paris. Need I say more? The menu is a fusion of East meets West flavors, blending traditional Asian ingredients with western foods.

SHOP:

Now back in the old hip area of Soho, there a shoe store you must see called On Pedder. Trust me when I say you will be in shoe heaven. This flagship store carries top international brands including McQueen, Chloe, Louboutin, Costume National, Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, Miu Miu and YSL (I had to cut this list short!) Walking into On Pedder is like walking into a jewelery box - Beautifully displayed treasures all over!

HANG OUT:

Tucked away in Soho, there is this little mysterious bar called Feather Boa, (love the name). If you can find it, it’s worth looking up. It’s tiny when you get inside, candle lit and packed every night. Once you step through the un-marked door, pass the thick curtains you step back into the 19th century. Here you get to enjoy some of their more popular drinks like Mango Daiquiris filled to the rim (which are dipped in chocolate).
