Whimsical designer Maison Martin Margiela has paired up with legendary Italian jewelers Damiani to create a collection that is anything but commercial. The pieces are exaggerated and conceptual, just like his brand.

The entire line of 14 items will be available in 14 Margiela boutiques, along with a selection of fashion retailers, including Maxfield in Los Angeles, On Pedder in Hong Kong and 10 Corso Como in Milan.

Now that Margiela has entered the jewelry market it’s been said that there may also be a eyewear collection for spring 2009 and a scent with L’Oreal for fall 2009.
