Vera Wang Finds A New Home

Even with the way things are in the US economy, Vera Wang decided to go forward with her 2,500 square foot Soho NYC location. It’s the first store she’s opened since 1989 so this is most definitely a big push forward.

As interviewed on the WSJ, “Of course we’re all nervous,” acknowledged Ms. Wang. “But this has been in the plans for so long and you can’t really dictate what happens in the world. You can only go on what you believe in as a business strategy.”

The store is nicely situated near other designer stores such as Marc Jacobs and Marni. Wang has decided to go with an all white store concept which plays around with depth by creating levels and moving partitions. The store will carry a vast selection of both her expensive design pieces as well as her less-expensive Lavender label.
