You can’t get any better then free nowadays and Google is offering free Wifi this holiday season. You can enjoy Wifi at 47 participating USA airports and on every Virgin America flight now through January 15, 2015.

How the inflight Wifi works on Virgin America:  Gogo has built a mobile broadband network of ground towers covering the entire sky above the continental United States to do the same thing for a plane. Equipment on board continuously selects the strongest connection from the towers below. With nothing but air between these towers and your plane, it’s possible to get a strong connection even at 35,000 feet.

There is a small catch, you have to watch some soft ads and you’ll be asked to make a donation via the Google Checkout to any of the patrticpating Wifi networks: Engineers Without Borders USA, One Economy Corporation, and Climate Savers Computing. Your maximum donation of $250 will be matched by Google.
