The Classic Trench

The Sartorialist recently did an entire spread on the “classic trench” for Burberry’s project called “Art of the Trench” and it’s evident that this iconic style is here to stay. It’s been re-used and re-designed in so many ways for young and old, yet the basic structure, color and styling of the coat never loses it’s luster.

The trench dates back to the first World War and were mostly worn by the British and the French. It’s been able to remain in fashion season after season and almost always shown in every designers collection in some shape or form.

Burberry always has the best classic trench around, however if you’re trying to save some cash, I suggest trying out  the one from Uniqlo. Based out of Japan I fell in love with the store during my last trip to NYC. Like everything else in the store, the trench is smart, simple, clean and fun.

The trench comes in 2 colors, beige and black and sells for $79.00!
