Never thought about heading to Palm Springs for a quick vacation until a friend of mine suggested it. I am so glad I tried it out. It was quiet, easy to get to and most definitely slow paced.
STAY: When visiting Palm Springs, enjoy the cozy one floor motel that was revamped as the Viceroy. Book one of the private villa rooms that surround the outdoor pool. The all black and white decor with trims of yellow are a refreshing yet bold interpretation of the Hollywood Regency style.

EAT: One of the best meals I’ve had was at Mister Parkers at the Parker Hotel. Jonathan Adler’s deconstructed design of the space makes you feel like you just fell down the rabbit hole and entered an entirely different world. If you are a Foie Gras fan like myself, you’ve hit the jackpot as it is incorporated in half the menu.

SHOP: I struck gold at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets. There are shuttles that leave from the hotels to this place or you can just rent a car and take the scenic 25 minute drive. Find some of your favorite brands like: Coach, Dior, Gucci, Elie Tahari, Prada, YSL, Jimmy Choo, Cole Haan and Zegna - There are 130 outlet stores in total and yes they are open late.
