It’s April and I hear NYC is 25 Degrees Celsius! Pack your bags and head over to the east coast as it seems the sun is shining over there.

STAY: Soho is probably my favourite spot in New York. I like the quaint atmosphere, local cafes, and boutique shopping. There are many hotels to choose from but the SoHo Grand probably has the best amenities. I would say the rooms are comfortable offering a mix of modern with a dash of traditional details.

The lounge is amazing and being a dog friendly hotel, you can have a drink at the bar while your pooch chews on a biscuit by your side. If you are traveling alone and need some company, the hotel has a goldfish in a bowl they can loan you! To help ease the stress of traveling for parents, they have a baby program where they allow parents to have guest rooms that are specially customized with cribs, outlet protectors, bath kits and even strollers.

EAT: If you stay at the SoHo Grand, you have to walk over to the Blue Ribbon Brasserie. All around great service, delicious food and the best spot for late night eats, (they are open 7 nights a week from 4 pm to 4 am). I suggest starting with a Matzoh Ball Soup, and move into the Rack of Lamb. If you prefer fish, the Sweet & Spicy Catfish is a must. If you are really hungry I’d add in the Paella Basquez for the table to share.

SHOP: One word and one of my favourite stores right now- OAK. The store fashion is really inspired by looks coming out of Asia. They carry some of the hippest branded lines in the market: Acne, Alexander Wang, Ash, Comme des Garcons, F-Troupe, Factory by Erik Hart, Preen, Pour La Victoire, Surface to Air, and Want Essentials, just to name a few. The best part is, if you can’t make it to NYC, you can shop online - Dangerous!
