During my last trip to Las Vegas I visited the new J. Crew concept store in the Fashion Show Mall. I was very surprised when I walked through the store - J.Crew took it up a notch and added some sizzle to their traditional preppy style.

For their F/W 2010 launch held at MILK Studios in NYC, they mixed it up and mashed it up, playing with textures, adding a lot of earthy tones, off-white tulle, sequins and jewels. If I had to sum it up it would be “Grey Gardens” crossed with prep.

We can’t forget about the boys! The men’s  collection is full of bespoke like suiting pieces (my favourite look on a man). They have re-worked classic items like the chino and denim jacket and paired them up by layering cardigans and sporting brogues. They have done the unbelievable, making the old look new again.

I’m sorry for jumping into F/W 2010 so quickly but now we know what to expect in the coming months. Their S/S 2010 collection is utterly gorgeous and you can take a look through their lookbook here.
