Marc Jacobs is expanding his empire and opening his sixth store in the West Village. He has signed a lease at 400 Bleecker Street, directly across from the famous Magnolia Cupcake store. The space he is taking over is where the Biography Book Shop called home for 20 years.

When  MJ International signed the lease, it was speculated that it would end up being another “lifestyle” boutique. It has now been confirmed that it is going to be a book store later this winter 2010.

What will it be called? “Book Marc” of course. I think it’s quite fitting.
