Whistler is a short drive from the city and a perfect little weekend getaway for the city slicker. There’s no snow at the base right now but there’s still a lot of fun summer activities to partake in.
STAY: The Adara Boutique Hotel is located in the heart of the Village. They offer a trendy and contemporary take on lodging accommodations. They have a beautiful lobby, a cozy fireplace in the lounge and a year round hot tub. It’s the perfect getaway spot for couples. Oh, one more important thing - They are pet friendly.

DO: Would you like to fly with the eagles? You have to book a Ziptrek Eagle Tour. It’s the newest addition to Ziptrek Ecotours which includes a 2000+ awe inspiring monster drop. It’s such a great way to spend the day. You learn a little bit about the forest, you get to go on a small hike and you fly from tree to tree on 5 zip-lines!

EAT: You work up quite the appetite after a 3 hour tour in the forest. On the way back to the city, there is a restaurant called the Rimrock Cafe. It’s a short 5 minute drive from the Village. This quaint restaurant has a robust menu and right now, they are offering a 3 course meal for $45. My picks: Start with the lobster bisque soup, followed by the buffalo mozzarella salad and a 9 oz rib-eye steak to finish.
