The end of September is near and Autumn is just around the corner. One of my favourite things about the transition is getting back into layering. I always say a nice scarf can change your look instantly and can also keep you cozy. Here are some of my picks for Autumn 2011:

lemlem: A line created by supermodel / actress Liya Kebede, handwoven in Ethiopia. Dolo textured cotton gauze scarf, $125.

String Theory products are designed by two textile designers – one specializing in knitting and the other in weaving. Made with top quality yarns from $120 - $220.

Virginia Johnson is a Canadian textile designer who creates colourful prints on clothing, shawls, home and children’s wear.  Love her bear print light weight merino wool scarf, $195.

Laquita designer, Sara Rotman has a quirky style and her prints are unexpected. My favourite is the “Gun Scarf’ made of 100% silk mesh, $170.
