Lately: New York

We woke up today to another gorgeous gorgeous day in New York…Walked out the hotel with just a light sweater and scarf wrap. I had to take a photo of the building across from us, I wish we had more exteriors like this back home.

Today we sauntered over to the Soho and Nolita neighborhood. I felt like I had a part of Vancouver with me when I entered Aritzia’s new Soho shop located on the busy corner of Broadway and Spring. Lucky for me I was able to take advantage of some early Black Friday sales and I ran into a few familiar faces.

Around the corner at Spring and Crosby I followed the extra loud music to C.Wonder, (they even had dancing staff at the front entrance). C.Wonder is a tier two concept brand opened by Tory Burch’s ex husband, Chris Burch. (I do believe Tory is also a co-owner).

We walked further into Nolita and took in the sights, StyleQuotient tries to hide on me (ha ha), love all the brown stone buildings in the neighborhood, watched this guy paint a Chevy ad on a large building wall…and we had to stop for a snack at Mac Bar.

We ended our night in the LES at Beauty & Essex, a pawn shop front and vibey restaurant/bar/lounge in the back. Yes, I had to do it, I tried on a 1 carat vintage diamond ring in the pond shop for $2,000. Not bad right? Sad to think that some poor woman or man had to pond it in for what ever reason. As for the food, we had pasta, it was was pretty damn good. As for the vibe, it’s definitely a place to look your best so you can be seen.

Good Night for now New York….love,
