Win Tickets to “Creme de la Creme”, Going To The Chapel

It’s back again, the annual Creme de la Creme wedding showcase presented by CountDown Events, being held at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver on Saturday October 30, 2010. I attended last year and it was a day of opulence and girly fun, scoping out the cakes, oohing over wedding gowns and drooling over table settings.

This year they will be hosting the first ever Oscar de la Renta runway show, displaying dramatic show-stopping designs that will make any blushing bride’s heart melt. Oscar de la Renta’s exclusive wedding gowns will join Monique Lhuiller and Vera Wang at the Creme de la Creme Haute Couture Fashion Show. Make sure to check out www.cremedelacreme.ca for show times and event schedules.

I Need Some “myfaceworks” Facial Masks

If you are not familiar with “sheet masks” this is your opportunity to experience them. “myfaceworks” facial sheet masks offer the largest selection in North America. Considered part of a woman’s everyday routine in Asia and parts of Europe, a sheet mask is a soft piece of “paper-like” material cut into the shape of a face, soaked in different types of nutrients and ingredients.

Equipped with fresh names names like “i need to detox” and “i need to wake up”, each sheet mask is individually tailored to your specific facial needs. Whether you are looking for prevention, maintenance or repair, these masks are easy to use and convenient.

I love the fact that they are airport friendly and  I never leave the city without them. With my hectic schedule I like the idea … more …

What Makes You Sad? What Makes You Happy?

I’m a big fan of scarves and a even bigger fan of unique prints. Obakki sells a graphic silk scarf with 100% of the proceeds going to aid orphans in Africa. Again with the guilt free shopping!

150 orphans were given a piece a paper and asked these questions: What makes you sad? What makes you afraid? What makes you happy? Using the words and drawings as inspiration, the answers were imprinted on a %100 double faced silk scarf.

You can purchase the scarf on-line for $60 CDN with 100% going to the Obakki Foundation or simply make a donation in cash or towards some first aid and school kits. Shop and help, it’s a pretty simple concept.
