I just wanted to take this opportunity firstly to THANK everyone and anyone who has ever dropped by the PartlySunny.ca blog (even if it were just for one second). I am grateful for given the chance as I know that there are so many blogs out there to choose from, it’s like a visual tornado. I’ve spent the last few months working on the re-brand of PartlySunny.ca and on a new project called “Shut Up I Love This”. The old PartlySunny.ca blog will still be around and all posts will be archived, however new posts will now be {here}. So let’s start all over again and meet each other for the first time right now.

As if her life is not already busy (being a new mother and all). Alexandra Suhner Isenberg is the founder of the blog “Searching For Style”, also the Fashion Editor for Vitamin Daily, she teaches at Visual College of Art and Design and now, she’s just launched a new project called, The Sleep Shirt.

It all started off with a 19th century chemise Isenberg found in Spitalfield’s market in London. In falling in love with the most coziest sleep shirt ever, she found a Canadian factory to manufacture something like it and the rest is history. Have you ever slept in your boyfriend’s/husband’s button up shirt? Well this is 1000 x times better. Right now the night shirt it is offered in one fabric, a blue and white pinstripe, it’s one

Studs and spikes are here to stay for Fall/Winter 2012. They made a small splash in the last couple years but it seems like everyone is going stud crazy for Fall 2012. You’ll see them in all different shapes and sizes: From cones, to spikes, to flat head and pyramids. They will come in all different colors: Black, gunmetal, white, silver, gold and rose gold. However, the gold studs tend to be the better seller at retail (I think rose gold will be the big metal for Spring 2013). Gold shaded studs have a more luxury feel, while the silver shades have a junior connotation.

I’m doubly excited as I get to pull forward some of

Took a jaunt over to Seattle for the weekend with my man for some RnR, shopping and food. I was excited to make it in time for the Nordstrom’s anniversary sale, but sadly to say, I didn’t find one thing.
So, we headed towards Capitol Hill, a densely populated, urban community close to the downtown core. I was on a mission: Find a pair of basic, black leather ankle boots to start my Fall/Winter wardrobe. We dropped into Totokaelo’s new location, a beautiful fashion, art and object store. (Don’t worry guys, Totokaelo men’s is in the works for 2013).

Totokaelo carry’s all sorts of brands: Jill Sander, Costume National, Isabel Marant, Rachel Comey and Rick Owens to name just a handful. I was in awe of their shoe wall, especially the sale
