Bold Bangles

This fall/winter is about making a statement with your jewelry. It’s easy to give volume to an outfit simply by accessorizing with the right pieces.

Bold bangles are a key wrist item this winter. The chunkier the better - adorned with gems, stones and floral appliques. It’s all about over exaggeration, so don’t worry too much if you have thin wrists like me.

This is the one time I can say more is more and it’s ok.

Mix and Match

Toodlebunny Designs is a truly unique collection by Vancouver based jewelry designer Trudy Wynans. When I saw this pair of earrings at the recent One of a Kind Show, I had to have them. I loved the idea of the mis-matched ‘Birdcage’ and who says you have to match all the time?

All her pieces are intricate and feminine with a slight edge (which is me in a nut shell).  Toodelbunny has been featured on Sweetspot.ca, Flare, LOULOU, Fashion Magazine and now on partlySunny!

Visit Wynans creations at www.toodlebunny.com  and check their stock list for local retailers.

Lilliput Hats

Not making it to a tap dance class was serendipitous for Karyn Gingras, designer and founder of Lilliput Hats. Instead she signed up for the millinery class and the rest of it was history.

I found Lilliput at the One of a Kind Show this past weekend and I truly wanted to walk out with every single hat. She has hats for every occasion - Casual, couture, classic, vintage and cocktail.  If you go by her studio in Toronto, you can witness old-world techniques as she handcrafts each hat making them all unique to each owner.

You can find Lilliput Hats at Holt Renfrew and other fine boutiques in the USA.
