Never thought about heading to Palm Springs for a quick vacation until a friend of mine suggested it. I am so glad I tried it out. It was quiet, easy to get to and most definitely slow paced.
STAY: When visiting Palm Springs, enjoy the cozy one floor motel that was revamped as the Viceroy. Book one of the private villa rooms that surround the outdoor pool. The all black and white decor with trims of yellow are a refreshing yet bold interpretation of the Hollywood Regency style.

EAT: One of the best meals I’ve had was at Mister Parkers at the Parker Hotel. Jonathan Adler’s deconstructed design of the space makes you feel like you just fell down the rabbit hole and entered an entirely different world. If … more …
You can’t get any better then free nowadays and Google is offering free Wifi this holiday season. You can enjoy Wifi at 47 participating USA airports and on every Virgin America flight now through January 15, 2015.
How the inflight Wifi works on Virgin America: Gogo has built a mobile broadband network of ground towers covering the entire sky above the continental United States to do the same thing for a plane. Equipment on board continuously selects the strongest connection from the towers below. With nothing but air between these towers and your plane, it’s possible to get a strong connection even at 35,000 feet.
There is a small catch, you have to watch some soft ads and you’ll be asked to make a donation via the Google Checkout to any … more …

Vancouver is at the top of most peoples destination travel plans. Like myself, visitors usually enjoy the mix of urban and coastal living that the city offers. With the winter 2009 Olympics around the corner, the hotels have been stepping it up a notch.
Next month a new hotel will be added to the boutique sector, opening up in the Chinatown area. ‘The Keefer’ offers four guest suites (2,400 sq ft self-catering loft apartments with kitchen, twin bedrooms, private lift access and much much more).
I warn you it’s not going to come cheap. These suites run from $800 - $2,950 CAD per night.

The city of lights and the city of sin. I’m on the move in Las Vegas.
STAY:
The Palazzo Hotel Resort is the newer addition to the Venetian on the Las Vegas strip. Like it’s counterpart, each room is a suite (pretty much the size of a Vancouver apartment). It’s luxuriously comfortable with sunken in living rooms designed with a modern European edge. The kicker for me was the electric curtain and blind opener.

EAT:
Bam! - Is all I have to say. As a seafood lover, I was super excited to try Emeril Lagasse’s restaurant at the MGM Grand Hotel Resort. They serve up scallops from Mane, pike from the Midwest, and chicken fro Alabama. For dessert, the ‘banana … more …
