Seeing Double With Hermes

Do you ever feel guilty when spending an arm and a leg on one handbag? What if the bag was a classic and offered a 2 in 1 option? The Vintage Hermes Herbag is probably your best bet.

It’s equal parts form and function with the classic “Kelly” shape it will never go out of style. With the interchangeable parts, you can change the look of your bag everyday if you wish. One big price for a bag for life, I get goose bumps just thinking about it, genius.

Stylish Tote Handbag

During my last purge at Front & Co, I found my new travel handbag. Because I travel so often, one of my pet peeves is having to change my handbags to accommodate the day. I carry lots of papers and reports with me from meeting to the next and it peeves me when I have tote around two bags.

Now, with my new Industry Pedal Bag, I can hop from meeting to meeting, carry all my necessary tools to do my job without having to sacrifice style. The long vertical shape of the bag makes it very easy to carry notebooks, magazines and papers.

Not to mention the unique pedal details on the flap and supple leather - Smooth like butter.

Just a Dash of Pink

Two great brands in Vancouver have joined forces to collaborate on something fun and wearable. Vancouver footwear designer John Fluevog has designed a limited edition shoe for the Opus Hotel called the “Porter Shoe”.

Fluevog has taken a traditional silhouette and added his creative flare to create a chic wing-tip for the boys. For most, the Pepto pink and black contrast can be a little much, but for die hard Fluevog fans, this is nothing out of the ordinary.

So in the next little while, keep your eyes open for the Opus Hotel Porter shoe. You won’t be able to miss the “hint of pink”.

$329 at the John Fluevog online store.

S/S 2010 Trend: Cut Outs

One trend you need to keep your eyes open for this spring/summer 2010 are interesting cut-outs. Cut-outs in your ensemble add a subtle sexiness to your look, covering just enough and leaving the rest to your imagination.

You’ll see this trend being used in all fashionable items, from dresses to shirts to leggings and shoes.  Since I am a shoe-gal, I have to talk about the latest addition to my shoe closet that best represents this trend.

My Luxury Rebel Kyra Open Toe Bootie.  The laser cut etching in this soft leather upper displays a striking geometric pattern. Add the splatter of studs and double metallic gold platform, I say you got yourself a perfect high-style shoe.

She’s smokin’ hot and can be found at Holt Renfrew.

Handbag Steal

On my Palm Springs holiday I spent 6 hours at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets. I found some major deals but I think my best find was my leather saddle hobo from Cole Haan. Everything in the store was 50% off, how could I pass up on the deal?

Although not a brand that is spoken about often, Cole Haan has been producing top quality leather footwear and handbags since 1928, starting out in men’s footwear and later introducing ladies in 1979. On top of using quality materials, Cole Haan produces and handles with care.

So the next time you go shopping, don’t let the brand sway your purchase, let the materials do the talking. You can find Cole Haan locally at Holt Renfrew and Freedman Shoes.
