Tsumori Chisato For Shu Uemura

Happy early holiday present to me! How excited I was when I found out famous Japanese designer Tsumori Chisato was collaborating with Shu Uemura on a holiday collection. The “wish upon a star” exclusive collection includes Tsumori’s favourite Japanese icons, “twinkle star” and “lucky cat”.

A client of mine brought over, direct from Japan, the limited edition radiant ribbon couture palette ($65 USD). The couture palette contains 3 pressed eye shadows, 1 cream eyeliner, 1 cream highlighter, 1 blush and 2 dual-ended applicators. In this playful all in one kit, it’s all I need to do up my holiday face.

Cosmetic Cleansing Tips

If you haven’t gotten around to spring-cleaning this year, don’t worry… you’re not alone. But when you do finally take on this cleansing mission, make sure you don’t overlook your makeup drawer.

Makeup doesn’t last forever; different products have different shelf lives and can build bacteria depending on how you use them.

FOUNDATION - Most formulas last up to a year but once your liquid starts to separate or your compact colour develops a … more …

A Wink & A Kiss

When it comes to your eye lashes and lips, bigger can be better. If you get the chance you must try Buxom’s mini sized lip gloss and mascara duo.

Your lips will tingle with glee and will be kept soft since the gloss is packed with antioxidants. Your lashes will be boosted with vitamins to make them appear fuller and thicker.

In this case, big things do come in small packages. The duo creates the look of fuller, more luminous lips and lashes so you can start your day or night with a fabulous wink and kiss.

Available at Sephora for $18 USD.

Halo Glow

I’m a huge makeup junkie, so when I tried Smashbox’s new Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder - I was in heaven. This powder is recognized by the dermatology board as a product that actually improves your skin. The Halo powder is oil- free and mineral based - with a formulation of pure gold, 48 minerals, 11 amino acids and a powerful peptide that delivers anti-aging benefits.

If you are prone to oily skin like me, start off with the Smashbox Anti-Shine on your T-zone, then follow up with the oil-free primer. Use a big powder brush, apply your Halo powder and voila! You are ready to Glow!

Available at Sephora and Shopper’s Drugs Mart.
