Shop, Explore, Create

I found this really cool site that allows you to play dress up (and play interior designer) with no limitations!

Polyvore is a free, easy-to-use web-based application for mixing and matching images from anywhere on the web. It is also a vibrant community of creative and stylish people.

Once you become a member you can simply choose images, click and drag them onto the “canvas” and create your “collages”. You can save your sets and share them with the Polyvore community!

Fred Segal Anytime

When I get the chance to visit L.A. there is one stop I always have to make in Santa Monica and that’s the Fred Segal store. It’s a shopping haven for all celebrities and they carry the top selection of kids couture, t-shirts, eco-friendly housewares, hip denim and the list goes on!

I almost had a heart attach when I found out that Fred Segal is now available online. The iconic Los Angeles-based retailer launched its very first web store, selling popular brands like James Perse, Development and Rock & Republic.

Now I can get my dose of L.A. anytime, not sure if that’s a good thing?

I am loving the new face lift at Pacific Centre Mall. It’s revamped attitude is making my holiday shopping a breeze. Beyond the renovations they have welcomed several new retailers such as H&M, Apple, Teenflo, Coach, BCBG and Miss Sixty.

What To Do: San Francisco, Cali

STAY:

If you’d like to be in the middle of a bustling shopping haven, the best spot to stay would be the Hotel Union Square. It recently had an extensive modern makeover and is now one of the freshest hotels downtown. The hallway walls are all brick, trimmed in opulent moldings and the rooms still hold their original Art Deco history. DSW is across the street, H&M down the way, you’re flanked by Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom’s and Macy’s. As well, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Cole Haan are just around the corner…really, what else do you need?

SHOP:

Hayes Valley would be your best bet. This trendy little neighborhood sprang up after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake that demolished the freeway that ran through it. While you’re there you need to visit Azalea, a fresh apparel and accessories … more …

Crisp Autumn Jacket

The air is getting nippy and a little bit more crisp. It’s time to pull out those light jackets and start saying farewell to those warm summer days.

Never fear, I found a perfect jacket by promising Montreal designer Eve Gravel. At only 28 years old her designs are fresh and daring and the “Make it 76″ jacket is a great example of her flawless cuts and fits.

This full zip jacket with 3 buttons and slight mock neck collar is practical and adorable and only $240 CDN. Just enough feminine frills to appease the girly side of me.

You can find Eve Gravel locally at Spank Clothing as well as these other fine retailers across Canada.
