Oh Oh Omelle

I have no idea how I ran into the Omelle website (pronounced ahm’elle), but I am sure glad that I discovered them.

Omelle is the brain child of two shoe obsessed ladies who graduated from LA’s prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Chreise Angelle and Nicole LaFave. Together they have created this luxury footwear line that has a distinctive and imaginative voice.

I saved my pretty pennies for this pair of shoes. Please join me in welcoming ‘Drew’, the new addition to my footwear family. Finished by hand, it’s made with a baby smooth calf leather with a distinctive cylinder wood stacked heel. Because of the fine craftsmanship of the shoes, they feel like butter on my feet.

Zip Me Up

The weather is starting to swing the other way as we get ready to say good bye to summer and hello to fall. One of the hot trims trending for this fall/winter 2009 season are zippers.

You’ll be seeing them on everything from footwear to handbags and apparel. Most times, zipper treatments can feel rough around the edges but I prefer to wear my metal teeth in a more feminine way.

Like this Eryn Brinie ruffle skirt ($155). Made with a cotton stretch and one zip closure, it makes dressing up an effortless thing.

Armed & Dangerous

I’ve always been a fan of chains and links and Armor Jewelry just takes necklaces to the next level.

Based in New York City, Armor pieces are designed to make a statement. The draping is soft and sexy, yet aggressive. Each piece is handmade with care with careful attention to detail.

Throw it on with a simple tee shirt or make your LBD stand out in the crowd.

Available on Etsy, ranging from $145 to $200 USD.
