On my last trip to Mexico, my boyfriend and I ran into a little sweet spot as we were driving top down in our jeep along the ocean-side. The Ana y Jose Hotel & Spa, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation amid the Mayan jungle is the place you need to visit when you plan your next trip to Tulum, Mexico.

The beaches are more private, the atmosphere is relaxed and serene. We got lazy on the beach side beds and snacked on fresh seafood ceviche. We also made time for relaxing spa treatments in their outdoor spa facility. It was the most unbelievable experience, being massaged while listening to the sounds of the waves crashing.

OOhh, I want to go back to this little sweet spot.

I had the chance to brush up on my French in the romantic city of Paris! Here’s my suggested day itinerary:

Spend some time shopping in the Champs-Elysees are where you’ll find some of the best designer and trendy boutique shops. It is quite the tourist trap, however you must drop into the Louis Vuitton flagship store just for a glance.

For something on a more affordable scale, I suggest cruising the Naf Naf store, where I found a beautiful supple leather jacket.

Once you tire yourself out from shopping, you must drop into the Laduree for some tea and try their legendary macaroons. Absolutely delicious and you can take them to go in a pretty decorative package.

As I was shopping at Le Bon Marche in Paris, (and trust me when I say it’s nothing like the Bon in the States), I caught a whiff of a wonderful scent. Compelled and curios, I followed my nose to the fragrance department and lead myself to the Kilian counter. It was love at first sight, the stark black packaging itself probably costs more then most perfumes on their own.

The Black Masterpiece, is the debut collection of fragrances, a new brand founded by Kilian Hennessy (the grandson of the founder of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy). If you get the chance to visit Portland, go for it! Just a couple more hours away from Seattle, this city has it going on. With major developments in housing, restaurants and shopping districts, there is so much to see and do.

Cruise around the Pearl District where you’ll find some of the best fashion boutiques in this once industrial location by the water. When you get hungry I suggest heading to the Ace Hotel where there is this restaurant next door by the name of Clyde Common. They serve a pretty spectacular hamburger.

When it’s time to snuggle in and lay your head down, check yourself into the Hotel Lucia, located conveniently close to everything.
